Urology is the branch of medicine that focuses on the urinary tract of males and females, and on the reproductive system of males. The organs covered by urology include the kidneys, ureters, urinary bladder, urethra, and the male reproductive organs.
The Department of Urology at the Welcare Hospital diagnoses, treats, and manages patients with the following urological disorders:

The urology department at Welcare Hospital is equipped with the latest urology equipment including, resectoscopes, ureteroscopes, nephroscopes, C-Arm image intensifier which is a mobile x-ray machine in the operating theatre needed for extraction of kidney and uretric stones through telescopes and Calcusplit which is one of the latest intracorporeal lithotripter to fragment the stones.
The department also includes paediatric cystocopes and resectoscopes whereby infants and children with congenital urethral obstruction can be operated without any surgical cuts.
